Lawyer Sarah Schielke Offers $50,000 To Charity In Exchange For Loveland Police Chief Robert Ticer’s Resignation – CBS Denver

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) – Loveland Police Chief Robert Ticer declined an offer to resign in exchange for $50,000 to charity, made by local attorney Sarah Schielke. Schielke, who represents the family of Karen Garner, made the offer after the city agreed to pay $3 million to settle a civil rights lawsuit against the department.(credit: CBS) Garner, who lives with dementia, suffered from a broken arm, separated shoulder and sprained wrist after an incident involving former officer Austin Hopp. Hopp tackled Garner after she refused to stop during an attempted theft investigation.
