Schools chief gives hope to parents whose children get vision services at RIC – The Providence Journal

PROVIDENCE — After listening to the pleas of dozens of parents, state education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green said she will ask the General Assembly to fund the vision-services program at Rhode Island College. “The legislature used to fund it,” Infante-Green said at a public meeting this week. “Rhode Island College President Sanchez and I will talk to the legislature about a line item” in the 2021-2022 state budget.Parents were outraged last month ...
